The National Society of Arts and Letters (NSAL) is a nonprofit organization that gives opportunities for students that are into arts to compete for scholarships and awards. There is a group of people who volunteer in this organization who keep an outlook or in look about the creative arts for the youth in our world. They have different categories for students such as dance, drama, literature, singing, playing some type of instrument, and musical theater. The organization tries to help students to advance their career talents and create opportunities with it at the same time. They also try to keep creative arts standing for people that love it and mentor young artists for the near future.

The events for this organization is mostly held in places with artistic interest such as; The Flagler Museum, The Breakers Palm Beach, Club Colette, Norton Museum of Art, Boca Raton Museum of Art, NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale, Vizcaya Museum & Gardens and The Mar-a-Lago Club. The scholarship prize given to a person ranges from $5,000 to $8,500.Another Scholarship prize for students age 16-22 is about $18,000-$20,000. Each year NSAL gives out two Literary Arts scholarships.

Overall, the national society of arts and letters really help and benefit students who are interested and love some type of performing arts. As for mentoring, the students are guided in to winning scholarships from many different categories.
