Thursday was the first official meeting for Key Club, directed towards newcomers. With so many fresh faces, and excited, past members, the library auditorium ended up being entirely packed! It was reported to be so crowded that many people had to stand up in the back. This meeting served as an introduction to Key Club that explained Key Club’s goals, what activities go on in Key Club, and the requirements needed to become a member. Students in Key Club get to be actively involved in many activities throughout the year. “Beach cleanup, can food drives, blood drives, and campus cleanups are just a few of the many activities students are able to participate in,” Mr. Lawrence, the Key Club’s advisor mentions.
This is going to be a fantastic year for the Key Club team, and everyone is excited to get started! “I’m expecting a great year. I have talented and dedicated board members as well as eager general members. This is the perfect combination for a successful club!” Katherine Castaner, the president of the club, exclaims.
