7 ring ceremony- rebecca

As the clock struck 7:00 p.m., many of the Class of 2015 students walked into the River of Grass Auditorium to finally receive their long awaited class rings. The ring symbolizes all the years that the juniors have spent in school and how far they have come. All the while, they were able to share this special moment with their family and friends.

Once the ceremony began, the audience heard from Mr. Bayer, the junior class sponsor Ms. Ellis, and class president Mollie Bayer. After the class officers received their very own class rings, the procession of student names began to be called. As the students waltzed across the stage to receive their rings, ring holder, and flower, they got to walk under the traditional big class ring. This moment symbolized the juniors going from underclassmen to upperclassmen.

“The ceremony was great,” stated junior, Amanda Duran. “I couldn’t believe that last night was one of the last times that the majority of the junior class is going to be together until graduation. It’s crazy to think about how fast high school is passing by, and this truly is the beginning of the end of our high school career.”

Now, with juniors parading around school showing off their rings, last night will be one that they remember for the rest of their high school years.
