PPCHS and the Kevin Garcia Foundation are partnering up to host the annual Harvest Drive. The Harvest Drive will be collecting canned goods and other necessities to provide families with a Thanksgiving meal and things they need around their homes. The homeroom class with the most cans collected will win a doughnut party! The drive may have started on the 9th but don’t worry because the Harvest Drive will continue until the 18th of this month, which is this Friday.
To help the cause, you can bring in:
- Canned Fruit, Soup, Beans, & Veggies
- Shampoo, Toothpaste, Soap/Body Wash
- Peanut Butter
- Rice or Pasta
- Or any other non-perishable items
Anything you bring in can help these families have the Thanksgiving that some of us take for granted. We are thankful for the food that we receive on our Thanksgiving dinner tables with our families so let’s come together and help others have the same Thanksgiving as we do.
Sophomore Robert Cochenour said “I think that the Harvest Drive is a really great thing and I hope it turns out to be a big success throughout the school. Everyone deserves to be able to sit down and enjoy Thanksgiving with their families.”
Remember, the Harvest Drive ends this Friday, November 18th and whatever class brings in the most cans wins a doughnut party!
