On May 22, the current junior class celebrated the Class of 2014 moving on by gathering them together one last time before graduation. The annual senior dinner took place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. last Thursday in the cafeteria and it welcomed dozens of seniors to enjoy food, drinks, and memories. With food from Exquisite Catering, the cafeteria was filled with delectable items from door to door. To display the transition of students through the years that were spent at charter, a slideshow was presented with a side by side picture of each student’s kindergarten picture to their senior picture.
“The senior dinner is an annual event that is organized by the junior class for the graduating seniors. It represents seniors seeing their peers for the last time before graduation and moving on,” says Class of 2015 sponsor Ms. Ellis.
Seniors who completed a minimum of 250 volunteer hours or more were also presented with their silver cords by Mrs. Thomas. The senior dinner was a successful way for the junior class to bid the seniors a farewell. As one final goodbye to the Class of 2016, the senior dinner created memories that will last a lifetime.
