The Jaguars boys’ soccer team suffered its first defeat of the season last night, falling to St. Thomas Aquinas (8-1) at home by a score of 4-1. It was a disappointing outing for the Jags, but the season is still relatively young and the thick of the schedule is still ahead. Senior Juan Vera scored the lone goal for Charter.

“We lost the mental part of the game,” said head coach Tom Lemmon. “You could tell very early that we weren’t mentally prepared.”

The Jaguars will look to regroup in another home game tonight against Alonzo Mourning at 7 p.m.
