7th Grade Faculty

  1. Diana Bivona-Belviso

    Civics Teacher
    Diana Belviso has been teaching since 2010 and is one of the founding faculty members of the Academic Village Middle School.  Mrs. Belviso, a proud alumni of our charter system, was named "Teacher of the Year" for the middle school during the 14-15 school year.  Ms. Belviso began her teaching career as a middle and high school American History and Civics teacher in Miami-Dade County. Currently, Mrs. Belviso is the 7th grade Civics teacher.  Besides starting a family, Mrs. Belviso's greatest adventure has been swimming in a cage in shark-infested waters and skydiving. Mrs. Belviso holds a Bachelor's Degree in History and Master's Degree in Curriculum and Design from University of Central Florida.


  2. Bonawitz

    Lisa Bonawitz

    Language Arts & Reading

    Ms. Bonawitz is a native Floridian who grew up in Pembroke Pines and has been teaching since 1993. Although she is new to Academic Village, she has been a member of PPCS since 2012.  Ms. Bonawitz began her teaching career as a first grade teacher in Broward County. Since then, she has been a Reading Coach in both elementary and middle school. In addition, she has taught Social Studies and Reading in grades 6-8. Ms. Bonawitz enjoys boating, crafting, and spending time with her family. She graduated from FIU and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and her certification in Reading.




  3. Lisa Coolidge

    Math
    Lisa Coolidge has been teaching since 2005 and is one of the founding faculty members of the Academic Village Middle School.  Mrs. Coolidge began her teaching career as a Math teacher at our charter high school.  Before teaching, Mrs. Coolidge worked in accounting for Carnival Cruise Line. Currently, Mrs. Coolidge is the Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry teacher. Mrs. Coolidge enjoys hiking and spending time with her family at her second home in North Carolina.  She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems from Florida Atlantic University and Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas.

  5. Keisha Gray

    Math
    Keisha Gray has been teaching since 2004 and is one of the founding faculty members of the Academic Village Middle School.  Ms. Gray began her teaching career as a middle school integrated subjects teacher in Virginia and Miami-Dade County, Florida.  Currently, Ms. Gray is the 7th grade math and Pre-Algebra teacher.  Her passionate personality to educate students is dominant throughout our hallways.  Ms. Gray holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida and is working on pre-requisites for her medical degree.


  6. Rebecca Lewis

    Language Arts
    Rebecca Lewis has been teaching since 2013 and is one of the founding faculty members of the Academic Village Middle School.  Ms. Lewis began her teaching career as a middle school Language Arts teacher and has worked closely with ESE, Gifted, and ESOL students.  Currently, Ms. Lewis is the 6th grade Language Arts teacher.  She has a passion for art and enjoys reading mystery novels.  Ms. Lewis has a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Education from Florida Atlantic University.  In addition, Ms. Lewis is working Ph.D. candidate at her alma mater with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction in Multicultural Education.
