Laughter is the best medicine, especially at Stand-Up Comedy Night

As the saying goes “Laughter is the best medicine” and it’s proven true. The action of laughing proves beneficial more ways than one. Infectiously, humor relieves stress, boosts energy and lightens the mood. On April 15, 2014 the PPCHS JAG.DOT Club (Jaguar Doctors of Tomorrow) is proud to announce the first ever PPCHS Stand-Up Comedy Night in the River of Grass Auditorium. Comedic acts will have the chance to spread joy and happiness by telling their own jokes.

Any student or teacher talents excited to stand before a crowd and up to the challenge of making an audience roar with laughter can audition on April 1st 2014 in room M115. Interested performers can sign up in the front office or see Mr. Bayer!

A simple $3 will have you laughing all the while supporting a great cause. Proceeds from the event will go to the Rebâti Santé Mentale organization. Tickets will be sold during A and B lunches when we return back from spring break.

“We’ve worked with this organization before because students of the people over it attended PPCHS so we thought we should team up with them again. Rebati Sante Mentale is basically a nonprofit group dedicated to bring awareness to mental health issues in Haiti. There’s not a lot of awareness about mental health over there usually people who are suffering with those issues get put into jail, so we are trying to raise funds and promote the help they need” said JAG.DOT co-president Mollie Bayer.
