Baseball Jags brace for tornado warning

The PPCHS varsity baseball team will go head-to-head with the Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes tonight at 6:30 p.m. It will be the Jags’ fourth road of the season where they are 3-0 thus far. Ten games into the season, the Jags have an outstanding record of 8-2; the Golden Tornadoes are 4-6.

Senior Derick Garcia will start once again on the mound, seeking his third complete game of the season. The cleanup hitter for the Jags, junior Danny Rodriguez has been an RBI machine throughout the long season and will look to lead his team past Pompano Beach.

“Even though the Golden Tornadoes record isn’t very good, they are still a pretty decent team. They lost to Archbishop McCarthy 5-1 not too long ago so we cannot take them lightly,” said junior Amadeo Gonzalez.

Good luck on the road Jags! Keep things going strong!
